Let's Roll Gently Into Creative Simple Joys of January- Who needs Fireworks!

There’s something weird about the space between Christmas and New Year’s. What day is it? What should I be doing? What could I be doing?

Do you want help staying on track?

You can download my Craft planner from Etsy.

So much pressure after a very stressful time but NOT anymore.

The decorations are still up, the house feels a little quieter, and time doesn’t quite know what it’s supposed to do yet.
It’s not loud.
It’s not rushed.
It’s just… here and that's OK!

And honestly? I love this part.

Everyone else seems to be talking about reinvention right now.
New habits. New goals. New you.

But I don’t feel like reinventing anything.

What I feel drawn to instead is noticing.
Noticing what already brings me calm.
Noticing what softens my shoulders and releases them from my earlobes.
Noticing the small things that steady me when life feels full.

For me, creativity has always lived there.

Not the big, impressive kind.
Not the “look what I made” kind.

The quiet kind.

Ten minutes of paint before dinner.
Cutting paper with no plan.
Iced Coffee beside a journal that doesn’t need to be pretty.
Glue on my fingers.
A table that looks used — not staged.

Creativity isn’t something I add to my life.
It’s something I continue to return to.

And that’s why this January, for me, isn’t about becoming someone new.

It’s about choosing what already works — on purpose.

I don’t want more pressure.
I don’t want more rules.
I don’t want creativity to turn into another thing I’m “behind” on.

I want simple.

Simple moments of joy.
Simple creative rituals.
Simple permission to start small and stay there if I want.

Because joy doesn’t need to be loud to be real.
And creativity doesn’t need to be complicated to matter.

That idea —
Creativity can be simple.
Joy can be simple.
Start small.

— has been quietly shaping everything I’ve been building toward.

Not a reset.
Not a hustle.
Just a gentle structure that supports the kind of creativity that already fits real life.

January doesn’t need fireworks. It needs a blanket, a favorite beverage and some soft music.

Create your 2026 Vision Board!

Sometimes it just needs space.
And scissors. And Glue. And Paper. And Paint.
And an iced coffee that’s already cold so I can get lost in the moment.

If you’re ending this year a little tired…
a little tender…
a little unsure of what comes next…

You don’t need to have it all figured out.

You just need one small place to land.

And I’ll be right here, starting small too. 🤍

Starting in January, I will be creating a monthly packet of printable, creative, simple inspiration. Stay tuned!
