What is one thing you wish you had more time for right now?
Not the fancy answer. The real one.
Maybe it’s rest.
Maybe it’s creativity.
Maybe it’s finally organizing that one room that currently looks like a raccoon rents it.
Maybe it’s reading. Quiet. Sunshine. A walk. A cup of coffee without reheating it three times.
Spring has a funny way of making us notice what we’ve been missing.
The birds start chirping, the sun hangs around a little longer, and suddenly we realize we’ve been in survival mode for months. Winter can do that. It wraps us up in routines, heavy blankets, and “I’ll deal with it later.”
Well… later is here.
And I believe creativity, peace, and joy should support your real life—not become another thing on your to-do list.
I want to create things that actually help you breathe a little easier, feel a little lighter, and reconnect with yourself.
So if winter left you feeling tired, cluttered, unmotivated, or just blah (scientific term), here are 5 simple ways to reset this spring.
1. Open the Windows—Literally and Mentally
Fresh air is underrated.
There is something about opening the windows, letting the stale winter air out, and hearing birds instead of your heater trying to survive another season.
It shifts something.
Open the windows. Light a candle. Change the sheets. Wash the window coverings. Let your home feel awake again.
And while you’re at it—open some mental windows too.
Ask yourself:
What do I need less of?
What do I need more of?
Sometimes the reset starts there.
2. Create Something with Your Hands
Not for perfection. Not for Pinterest. Just for you. You only need 15 mintues- YES -it is true.
Just because it feels good.
Paint something. Journal. Rearrange flowers in a mason jar like you’re starring in your own Hallmark movie. Glue paper into a junk journal. Doodle. Make a mess.
Creating helps quiet the noise.
It reminds us that we are allowed to enjoy things without needing them to be productive or useful. I despise when someone asks "but what are you going to do with it?"
Art has pulled me through grief, stress, overwhelm, and those seasons where life just feels too loud.
Sometimes peace looks like paint on your fingers or your clothes.

3. Clear One Small Space
Notice I said one.
Not your entire house. We are not auditioning for a home makeover show.
Pick one drawer. One shelf. One corner.
That tiny reset creates momentum. Set a timer for 15 minutes - that's it.
When your physical space feels lighter, your brain usually follows.
And no, shoving everything into a random basket and calling it “organized” does not count.
(Okay… sometimes it counts.)

4. Make a Tiny Joy List
We wait way too often for big joy.
Vacation joy. Big milestone joy. Someday joy.
Nope.
Make a list of small things that make you feel like yourself.
Mine would include:
iced coffee
a walk on the beach
15 minutes of sitting in sunshine
a new notebook
fresh paintbrushes
my favorite book
a new magazine- yes- an actual magazine
quiet mornings
good music
creating for no reason at all
Your list matters.
Because when life gets heavy, tiny joy is often the first step back.
5. Give Yourself Permission to Start Small
This might be the biggest one.
You do not need a full life overhaul by Tuesday.
You do not need the perfect planner, the perfect routine, or the perfect motivation.
You need one small step.
Five minutes of journaling.
Ten minutes of painting.
A short walk.
Cleaning one counter.
Saying no to one thing that drains you.
That counts.
Actually—it counts a lot.
Spring is not asking you to become a whole new person.
It’s simply inviting you to come back to yourself.

Final Thoughts
After a long winter, we all need a reset.
Not a dramatic reinvention.
Just a gentle reminder that joy can be simple.
Creativity can be simple.
Healing can be simple.
Sometimes the bravest thing we do is make space for ourselves again.
So I’ll ask you one more time—
What is one thing you wish you had more time for right now?
Start there.
That might be exactly where your spring reset begins.
