Let me spill a little paint water truth today. Lately, I’ve fallen hard for something new… paper crafting and journaling. I know, right?! Who knew a glue stick, scissors, some scraps, and a beat-up old book could spark such serious joy? It's like I am back in Kindergarten and everyone knows we learned the most valuable life lessons in Kindergarten.
I didn’t see this coming, honestly. I started dabbling in junk journals and art journaling just to shake things up—something playful, messy, and less “perfect.” And somewhere between the torn edges, vintage ephemera, and washi tape-covered pages, I found a new outlet that feels like a warm hug for my creative soul. It’s freeing, expressive, and deeply personal. And let’s be real—it’s also just plain FUN and amazing for my Type A personality. More on that another time!
But here’s the thing… I’m not giving up my acrylic paints.
Nope. Not happening. Painting is still my first love. There’s nothing quite like blending those rich colors on a fresh canvas, watching something come to life one brushstroke at a time. That calm? That joy? Still here, still strong.

In fact, I’m about to combine the two worlds.
Think painted journal covers, mixed media pages with a touch of acrylic magic, hand-painted ephemera tucked between layers of story and memory. I’m blending the bold color and movement of acrylic painting with the freedom and reflection of journaling—and honestly, it feels like creative alchemy. I am beyond excited!
This new path is still unfolding, but one thing I know for sure: I’m here for all of it. The paint. The paper. The scissors. The process. The play.
